Thank you so much for your report from Aomori! It looks so beautiful and autumn especially must be a great time to be there.
I’ve tried to see how long the exhibition will be for (is it only running in November?) but could not quite figure it out (but my internet is bad as I am on a train to Amsterdam!)
The exhibition is only up for two weeks! Have wonderful trip in February - if you make it to Aomori I hear it gets really thick snow that builds up all winter.
Ah, I hope many people come to see it! Enjoy your time there!! I’m not completely sure yet how many places I can visit. I thought I’ll definitely be finished with my specialty training by then (final possible extension) but was told final doesn’t always mean final…. (I’m too slow at the doctoring…)
Thank you so much for all your news and details. What an amazing place..so Japanese. I love the peaceful architecture.... and those trees! Could watch them all day. Do you need a cushion for your chair?😄
Enormous admiration for you and your involvement in this, wish I could visit the exhibition!
Thank you so much Judith!

I am going to Japan in February!

Sounds like heaven…
It seems you’ve almost moved to Heaven. Notwithstanding the hungry bears! All the best, Samantha Clark, on this escape from Orkney.
Very close to heaven indeed!
It's a very beautiful place.
It would be even better if we didn’t have to worry about bears.
The architecture is stunning too.
Wonderful…enjoy Sam.
Thanks Jacqueline! I'm trying to make the most of it!
Wow, it sounds and looks amazing. What an opportunity! Have a super time!
It is and I will!
Wow, be careful of those bears....
Confluence is a wonderful project to extend to Japanese High School Students.
I'm looking forward to it. 16 students in their final year of High School. We'll communicate somehow!
What a dreamy place to work and be!
It certainly is. I feel very fortunate indeed!

Ha, yes it is a bit spartan! Going for the monastic vibe 🙏
Sounds magical Sam, have a wonderful time. It's good that you have help too.
Thanks Sue! Yes, it's a great treat to have someone do the heavy lifting - literally!
Wonderful Sam XX
Thank you Sarah!
Looks like a great opportunity. Great to hear how you are settling in and I’m looking forward to seeing how your work progresses.
It is great, but goodness me, I am really getting that feeling of time running through my fingers too fast!
All sounds wonderful, enjoy your residency, looking forward to further updates.
I'll keep 'em coming, Claudia!
