This book came at just the right time for me. I enjoyed the explanation of the mark making, the total absorption for a short lengths of time, followed by so much other forms of work around the weeds and drawing. It has enhanced the way that I am seeing in my daily life as well as endorsed the aspect of my practice which is to just keep turning up in bite-sized chunks of time in and around all the other calls on my life. Thank you Samantha for the intro and Anna for an absorbing book.
I began reading this book yesterday's and I'm already at May - Anna's writing is engaging and making me think more about how I interact with the often unnoticed things around me, I recall in the less speedy times of lockdown drawing lots of weeds and grasses in notebooks! Looking forward to hearing this conversation.
This had caught my eye, and now I know I need to buy it! A very enjoyable discussion, thank you both.
A wonderful addition to the art bookshelf...

Yes, it's gives us permission just to turn up and do what we can, when we can, and accept that is enough.
