Hello friends
I wanted to share something special with you from the studio. Of Light and Dark is a series of twelve new small works I’ve been working on between the Vernal Equinox and the Summer Solstice.

It’s a time of the year when darkness rolls steadily back, day by day, until it’s only present as a potent memory. More and more, the Sun’s generous light filters through clouds, mists, the spray from windblown waves, and, of course the Orkney rain, until now, when it lights our life from the early hours of the morning until late into the night.

In recent months have been focussed on finishing paintings for a series of gallery exhibitions, so I haven’t had any work available for a while. The last set of small works I released sold out within three hours, so if you were disappointed last time I’m sorry it’s taken so long to get these ones ready for release. They were meant to be ready in time for the Solstice but I didn’t quite manage it!

You can view the full series of twelve paintings and check availability at the link below.
Making Waves - Breaking Ground
There’s also an opportunity to see the larger scale paintings I’ve been working on in an upcoming exhibition in Fife. Click below for the details and RSVP HERE to attend the preview on July 18th 6-8.30pm.
The Life Raft Co-Creating Community
You are warmly welcomed to join our weekly creative co-working session on Zoom. Our meetings are a little Life Raft of shared creativity in these stormy times. It’s very simple. We just say hello at the start and say what we plan to work on and then leave our cameras on and work together in companionable silence. We start at 3pm UK time and finish around 4.30pm. Just click the link below to join us. If you can’t make it live I share a recording to the paid subscriber chat each week.
That’s all for this week!
Sam
P.S. I’m taking on new mentoring clients
I have capacity to take on a couple of new coaching clients soon, so if you’re ready to commit to your creative work get in touch and let’s talk about how I can support you. Find out more below.
These are beautiful. They make me want to stare at them just like the sea does. 🌊
Simply, exquisitely beautiful.
