So I just followed your link to Karine which seems to go to a less active account, not the one the post is in. The post is spectacular, and I could not help but add something there of value personally but for us all.
Meantime, here is the correct link to fix yours to her name correctly.
Wonderful, Jane! I'll be there myself 'in conversation' with the curator in the evening of Sat 2nd August - during the Pittenweem Art Festival. Do come say hello if you make it!
For as long as it lasts, we are in a kind of social exchange of creative thinking and living paradise… I keep asking myself how we will all stay in touch when this one falls to some form of media tyranny. In the meantime—we have crossed paths and it lovely to have you on the journey!
Sometimes I think it’s a final Camino into whatever this next dimension becomes, and we get to do it all ‘holding’ virtual hands 🤲🏻
Did you, per chance, read Shirley MacLaine’s El Camino? For some reason this popped into my head. Things tend to do this when they are relevant.
No I haven't read it, but I looked it up and it looks wonderful - thank you for the recommendation! And yes, I have been looking at Ghost as an alternative, for when the inevitable enshittification comes for this platfrom as it has all others. But for now, it's the cross-connections and and conversations I am sticking around here for.

Thanks for checking that - I've fixed the link now! Substack is tagging automatically to an older account I think.
Beautiful Samantha. I am an ocean away, but your paintings transported me. Thank you.
Waving across the waves to you, Melissa!
Thank you for this! Nature & Art are the only things that can subdue the world's madness.
So true, yes, and we need to remember this again and again.
What a beautiful piece of writing. Sums it all up for me perfectly. Thank you.
I'm so glad to hear this post landed in the right spot for you Liza. Warm wishes to you.
Samantha your words help me to remember the incredible convergence of nature and art and that is a means to soothe the soul in tumultuous times
Yes, we need to keep ourselves anchored in the natural world that is our home and the instinct for creativity that is our human nature.
Really hoping to make it down to the exhibition and seeing your wonderful work in person, Samantha!

Not sure if that’s the date we can make, but if so, I’ll definitely say hello 😃
Thank you LaMonica, I am finding so much intelligence, curiosity and understanding in your own writing - wonderful to find fellow travellers here!

Ghost is a platform. Hm. Must look into.
