Hi Sam, I love the closeup of your cloud painting, the attention on the small area where lines of light pour through the cracks, like water through dry earth. Wonderful. Thank you.

Thank you, Sam. I'm truly so honoured to be included in your beautiful post.

This 'Cloud, seen from inside' is exquisite. And this Sexton poem!

Wishing you a beautiful break. Thank you for bringing light.

I saw, or I should say heard, my first skylark this weekend, too. I was in the Peak District, and it stopped me in my tracks. Such a joyful sound. I tried to see her, but the sky was too bright, which brings us back to the light again.

I really like the cloud from inside painting. At the moment, I'm trying to think about how the world might look from the point of view of salt, so it's interesting to see a cloud's-eye-view.

Oh wow I love this - to see the world from the point of view of salt - such an amazing shift, decentring us from the human to a substance that moves through all nature, including and exceeding our bodies. Going to be thinking about that for a while!

Yes, it's taking a lot of thinking to get my head around it because salt is so omnipresent.

Thanks Emily! Rain today, stormy tomorrow but forecast is good for Friday, so I might get to sit on my favourite bench for a bit!
