I've been enjoying your Substack. I heard your interview on Alyson Stanfield's podcast - I've been working with her for several years, and as a writer, I never really understood how I could join my art and writing. I joined Substack because of your inspiration! Thanks!
Love your website Samantha! Beautifully done. Not sure if it's new or I'm just discovering it, but I remember thinking it would be nice for you to have a bit of a virtual gallery for people to explore your work more fully. Looking forward to visiting the various sections in detail.
Having also been drawn to render lakes and oceans over the years, your paintings have such resonance for me. The intricacies of the lattice-work waters surface is so fitting for bodies/spaces always in motion and yet somewhat unmoving in their presence. Beautiful work.
Thank you Davin...yes it's odd that such a geometric form is what has come out of being with the waters of ths place, but it does seem to catch something, for me. The making process is also soothing and meditative, a stillness in the midst of motion.
oh beautiful work! love your style and spaciousness.
Thank you Kim! I'm busy finishing some big pieces for an exhibtion in July but I hope to make some small works like this again soon.

Thanks Baird, yes I’ve had the website for a long time, in various forms. Happy browsing!

These are so moving—like the sea, the clouds, the light—and you! I look forward to shopping the collection. A Gallery on Substack-brava!
Thanks Kate - I hope you enjoy browsing!
