These are all so beautiful, I absolutely love them. I feel so privileged to be the proud new owner of “Dusk” (thanks to a bequest from my late great-aunt arriving at just the right time!)

Thank you Amy. I’m so pleased you love your painting. It’s a huge pleasure to know what my work means to the people who choose to have it in their homes. I always feel honoured and humbled. And it’s wonderful to know that your great aunt’s legacy will be gleaming down at you from your wall.

Your work is stunning Samantha. (I’m also reading your beautiful memoir right now, I can hardly put it down!)

Will you be shipping these smaller originals to the US or is it cost prohibitive? I’m have my heart all over “Sinking Light” if it isn’t already sold.

Oh, thank you Kimberly, it means so mch to hear that you’re enjoying reading The Clearing. Writing it was a real labour of love for me. Shipping one of these small paintings to the US is usually around $60-$80 for work this size/value, but unfortunately you’ve missed out on Sinking Light as it’s alredy found a home. (The red dot means a work is sold, just like in an art gallery!) Sorry you missed out this time. I hope you’ll find another work you love in due course.

Oh my! They sold fast! I love them all. How about Colloidal Light? What would the cost + shipping be on that beauty?

I’ve sent you a direct message Kimberly!

"Undertow" is my favorite!

It's been a popular one! Two inquiries came asking for it, after it had already sold!

That's interesting. I really like the wildness of it, the break from order. It has a depth to it...

Thank you that’s lovely to hear. Some works take a while to come together but Undertow came quickly and felt ‘right’ almost immediately.

One of my favorite drawing teachers said that we have certain pieces that come out easily, like they were waiting--from the first mark they know where they are going. She said it's all the hard pieces that get worse the more we hammer at them-- those are where the real work is happening, and the pieces that flow out are their results. This has stayed with me.

Your teacher clearly knew a thing or two!

Thank you Paula. I love working small sometimes. You can be more playful with it, I think.

These are wonderful, you can really sense your place next to the loch! I visited Orkney in 2024 and felt the surroundings take hold in my head

Thank you Paul, happy to hear that Orkney has stayed with you!
