Above all else, enjoy yourself is my wish for you in these days of journey and exhibition. You well deserve it for such a glorious work, and all the glorious work it took you to do it.
Wishing you all the best of success and memorable responses to your paintings. I have been absorbed in al the magical mark making that you have mastered that paints a transcendent experince of water.
Beautiful. I love the story of the process, all the stages along the way, the long journey of becoming. How creating is an adventure into the unknown, into the darkness and the depths but also towards distant light.
Wow, incredible devotion to process. I love looking at the final painting and feeling the layers, like hidden tree rings, underneath. Each telling its own story of season and relation. Congrats on the exhibition!
I liked your mention of the Voyager I spacecraft, Samantha. If we don’t outright destroy our precious Earth first, I like to envision interpretations and admiration of your four paintings, now headed to Edinburgh, as seen by future generations. No cause to blush, Sam, as the present world so admires your creativity and immense talent.
I love this work - it reminds me of electron micrographs of some cells so it is working on so many scales from the nano to the billion. Safe travels and hope to see you in Edinburgh on the 6th
Definitely worth the long voyage, a fabulous achievement the painting looks alive, and I’m so looking forward to seeing it in real life. Hope to go early next week. Best of luck with the opening and enjoy your journey today.

Thank you Kimberly. Sometimes I think there has to be a streak of stubbornness in any creativity...

When I contemplate your unique work Samantha, the word that comes to mind is "bioluminescence"!
I think you just gave me the title of my next painting Baird!
